I Not Stupid Too Clip
Crap. It's sunday already -.- man ... and I'm still struggling with my Treasury. I practically have no idea what to study you know. Sigh.
Hmm, I realised I didn't blog yesterday. Sorry about that. Yesterday was just another day. I managed to finish up my investment planning and then went out with my mom and brother to the boutique. Not many people today though and I just had my treasury noted in my hand the whole day. Pathetic rite -.- really no life. Life is such a monotony lar .... dread ....
Had dinner at Sun with Moon yesterday, which is this cool and funky jap restaurant at wheelocks. You usually need to get a reservation on weekends or you won't nab a seat if you just walk in. The restaurant is famous for its half-broiled salmon sushi. Seriously Scrumptious!
I was watching I Not Stupid Too with my mom yesterday. First time actually. No, didn't cry la but I totally agree that if not some but many teens live such lives or similar ones. A society that is entrenched with kiasuism .... such a sad reality. Times change and people need to change too. Parents cannot always assume full authority and believe that they are always right. After all, aren't parents human too?
I personally believe that a family is the most important thing in the world to an individual. A strong and positive family upbringing is a definite necessity for all children. I'm glad to say though, parents are now opening up to their children and eradicating this parent-child boundary and being their friends instead.
My mom always listens to what I have to say and I'm deeply appreciated for the effort that she takes to listen to all the garbage I have to say to her and of course, we teens should not take things for granted and listen to them once in a while to understand better. This sort of communication is priceless. I cherish this ability to communicate with my mother. We can sort problems out easily. We have fights over thins but in the end, we still love one another. That's all the counts to me. The ability to communicate, to love, that is the most important thing in the world.
You saw the clip just now. It shows parents who want the best for their children, what they did was no ill-intent, they nag at them day and night, they scold them all because they want to see their children succeed; however, they failed to listen to their children and in the end, the end result was still the same.
Hmm, yea, so I've said what I wanna say. Lol. Anyways, the gala at the Ritz will be starting soon. I need to get changed and there goes my time to study too. bleargh. Hope you folks have a great evening. A Happy Sunday to y'all =)
