THANK YOU ALL - From Winston

I’ve officially turned 19. It’s gonna be a new year for me. I have left the past, learning so much from my 18th year and looking forward to my 19th year with great gusto! I made a simple wish when it turned 12 am and I wish that it can be granted. I really hope that it will be a really great year for me. It will sort of be the last year of my teens. Next year and I will be an adult. Well 21 actually, but I see 20 as a crossover period too.

Well, I wanna say some thank yous to the people who remembered my birthday and made it an extra special one for me.

Thx Wei Jie for being the first person to call me and wish me a happy birthday =) Haha. 11:57pm I remember.

Thx Dixon for being the first person to wish me a happy birthday in the flesh at the chalet! Then to all the cool people at the chalet who gave me a surprise lol, especially Jason. Thx, Melissa, Jocelyn, Shaoping and Brenda for the present you guys got for me. Another thank you to Brenda for that special note. I loved it a lot. Thx, Wee Leong, Noel, Jing Yi, Joanna, Jenny, Kristi, Brendan and Hao Zhen for celebrating with me on my birthday at midnight. Thank you Ai Qi, Jeremiah, Wenru, Vanessa, Eileen, James, Dixon and Kin Sun for the lovely presents and the hand made card!!

Mom and Dad called soon after and wished me a happy birthday too. Thank you guys and who can forget my brother, Derek. Thx! Love u to bits.

Then to all of you guys who wished me a happy birthday, lol. I definitely have to thank you guys so much. Zhao Yuan, Indah, Dennis, Adam, Wei Png, Brian (thx for the birthday treat), Erly, Evelyn, Wei Xiang, Jia Qi, Ning Zhen, Mel Ang, Pei Fen, Mink, Wan Qi, Fyedee, Stacy, Patricia, Joshua, Dionis, Jen Yin, (who shares the same birthday with me), Ah Boy, Rene and Evern.

Thank you to my cousins, especially, my trio darlings, Stephanie, Tiffany and Christina! Haha. Not forgetting Jolyn and Will too! You guys are the best =)

Well, let me recap on the night of the chalet. Well, I went to the chalet on the second night. I had to go out earlier in the day and had my hair cut at the same time. It’s godamn short now ah. Roamed around to take a look at some Adidas stuff. Haha. That night, we had a barbeque and it was pretty noisy. Some were playing games, some were cooking. Dixon was head chef btw. Lol. After much cooking and eating, we adjourned to our chalet room where we caught up with the match between Portugal and Mexico. Brendan had originally betted for Portugal to win but bought the wrong combination and bought for Mexico instead. Haha. In the end, Mexico lost to Portugal in what was a great match.

Later that night, after the birthday celebrations, we went to take a night walk. It was kind of boring as there was nothing much to do. We went to Cheers to get some rations and then made our way back to the chalet. All of us were waiting for the much awaited game of Argentina and the Netherlands but alas, the television reception was pretty bad, so I just turned in early and when I woke up next morning, it was a draw. Not surprising at all. Haha.

I spent the first day being 19 at Kallang River. Me, Dixon and Joanne went to do some canoeing. Joanne was organizing it and we were the only 3 BA students. The rest were LSCT students and I think they were all from LSCT Society. Well, it was a fun day. It was a great experience and the view was absolutely breath-taking. We ended at one and then had a quick lunch and the three of us went to Suntec City to wander about. We settled at Ben & Jerry’s and Dixon and Joanne did the sweetest thing ever. They bought candles and placed them onto an ice-cream cup and then we took photos. We didn’t light up the candle cause I can only blow a candle once for each of my birthday. Some superstitious.

Later, we went to do some window shopping. I feel in love with the Adidas and Nike shops there. The merchandise were so awesome and I almost died on the spot. Lol. Just before we went home, we went to the fountain of wealth and we each made our wishes.

I went home after that and before I could rest my weary self, my family wanted to go out and celebrate with me. We went out to have dinner at Crystal Jade Palaca at Ngee Ann City. I was actually bloody full but just tried to eat. >< Haha.

I really love my family a lot and really thank them for ending my birthday spectacularly.

Well, that’s basically what I did on my birthday and it was really a wonderful one. I shall never forget this day of my life. Thank you everyone, so very much. I’m really so grateful to you guys.
