Wii PWNS
Simple as that. No further comments. I've been an avid fan of Nintendo since I was a wee lad. I always admired the company's ability to place innovation ahead of graphics and garnering profits from the general masses like how Sony and Microsoft function. The PS2 & XBox were great but Nintendo always had the greatest games and always scored tops in polls. Yes, they lagged behind in the last round because no one was daring enough to follow or believe in Nintendo's pursuit of constant reinvention of the gaming industry.
Well, the three next-gen consoles are just ready to ripen and a new war will be waged between the Sony's PS3, Microsoft's X360 and Nintendo's Wii. Based on current official polls, Nintendo seems to be the greatest contender and is leading the polls. Goodbye Sony to its brief monopoly of the industry and welcome back Nintendo, the true console king.
The clip above is a string of games that will be released on the Nintendo Wii. There are still more in production but I guess this clip is good enough to prove Nintendo's prowess. Heh heh.
Here's a brief snipet from the article.
Finally, Famitsu put all three systems against one another. In the category of system sales, 60% of those surveyed expect Wii to come out on top. PS3 took 37% of the vote compared to Xbox 360's 3%. The PS3's price point was cited as reason for the low expectations.
Most developers want to try out Wii development. 63% selected Wii as the system they most want to develop for, compared to the PS3's 32% and the Xbox 360's 5%.
Wii also won out in the category of which system the developers want the most, personally. 49% selected the Nintendo hardware. PS3 was chosen by 42%, with Xbox 360 coming in last at 9%.
Well, moving on ... the haze has begun to worsen over the past few days with our island nation experiencing a well, still tolerable PSI of 126 and more. I went jogging at around 7 in the morning the day before and I couldn't complete my usual route to school and took a U-turn at Hwa Chong. Visibility was poor, the smog choking my lungs and I ended up running on the treadmill -.- .... BAH.
My body has been aching terribly too. I need more sleep but I'm trying hard to exercise discipline. Wake up at six every morning and try to be asleep by 12 or 1 at the very latest. Oh, this is to train for Napfa too. Hahahaha!
I went to Vivo City today. My first impression ... MESSY. Lol, NO NO! It's really still a great place to hang out at. Don't blame them as the mall is trying to spruce itself for the official opening. The official opening is not until December 1 so let's wait till then and judge it for ourselves.
I toured the mall and there was a security guard on a segway. I was like OMG! A segway! So shuang! I want one too! But wait, you can't maneuver a segway on our roads. Crap. Back to my two little feet I guess. Harrumph!
Ate at New York Pizza. I like it. Lol. Should try it if you guys get the chance. GV at Vivo is also damn awesome. Posh to say the least. GV Max is nopthing impressive but GOLDCLASS is something to awe about. Imagine being served a plate of steak to your comfy sofa chair while watching a movie in a cinema! I want that! Pamper yourselves man!!
There was a big open area on the rooftop. A playpool for godsakes and the scenery was beautiful. I could see Sentosa from there but the view of PSA ruined the otherwise scenic view. Haha. One more bonus. It's breezy!
I caught World Trade Centre at GV Max. I almost wanted to cry a few times while watching that movie. Imagine a day when armaggedon happens. The whole world is in chaos. People screaming and crying for help. When all hope is lost. It just got me so worked up. I was visibly shaken even after the movie ended. Very inspiring but the physical appearance of Jesus in the movie was totally unecessary. I just felt that physical depictions of religious icons should not be screened in movies.
WTC just made me realised that we should always not take whatever we have for granted. Especially Singaporeans. Almost everyone take things for granted. Wait till a catastrophe happens. You'll see. OK, that was a little mean.
But the point is, as Singaporeans, we ought to be able to care for and understand our brethens, regardless of race, language or religion. Yes, we have to be a multi-racial country. We should not just TOLERATE but ought to APPRECIATE each and everyone's customs. Until that day ever happens, Singapore will not be able to achieve its goal of a true multi-racial nation.
OMG! I feel like chomping on KFC now -.- Someone treat me to KFC please. Thx!
I'll go off to bed now. I have to be up at six! Lol. Kung Fu class tomorrow. I need to be all psyched for it!!
Take care all and as the haze continues to harm our country, do take all necessay precautions to prevent yourselves from falling ill. The haze is just too nasty.
*slips on face mask*
muffles: good night all!
The new Nintendo gaming platform.
Because it's really not about you or me.
It's about Wii (we).
Haha, good one ...
