Resident Evil 4 is perhaps the best game offered by Nintendo this past year after Zelda's Windwaker. It's so darn great that I actually completed the game ... thrice, knowing the fact that I DESPISE games filled with irritable zombies who just can't seem to die even when you've sliced, diced and grenaded them a zillion times, excessive blood and gore.
It's perhaps the only game in the world which has excellent controls and a superb and fluent storyline. Everything makes sense and I just love it to bits. The revolution of its control gameplay is also marvellous with me being able to execute 180 degree turns and running (a first for RE) and physical combat. What more! The graphics are an absoulte beauty. Stunning to say the least. The best graphcs I've seen so far on any console.
If you guys own a Gamecube, RE4 is a must try, or you've never lived.
The Haze has been gradually thickening over the past few days and particulary bad this evening. I can't seem to see the buildings three blocks down. That's bad, VERY BAD. The PSI must be damn high I reckon and we'd all be in jumpsuits and masks in no time ><
If you don't already know, the haze is actually cause by errant farmers in Kalimantan which is east of Singapore and Malaysia. They burn the forests to create land space for their livestocks. The environment minister in Indonesia has also come under heavy fire from greenpeace activists. Something should be done to stop the intangible damage that may arise; ie. health
Further north, the North Korean regime seems to be raising more than eyebrows with the possibility of an imminent nuclear threat. The aftermath would be critical in my perception, both politically and environmentally. Another war could break and this time, much closer to home and the nuclear fallout that a nuclear strike could cause would damage our eco-systems and ultimately affect and change the way we live. Imagine if nuclear radiation were to pass over Singapore. It would be an utter catastrophe. Im getting myself a geiger-muller. Haha.
Oh well. I woke up at 6am this morning and left home at ard 7 to go for a morning jog. I jogged from home to school and then back home. It was quite far actually. I reached home at around 8:30am. It was damn refreshing. I utilized the time to play squash and practice my Wushu in the gym. Then finally, a refreshing swim to end of my routine. Bwahahaha. I finished at around 1pm.
Had lunch then plopped down for a nap and woke up again around 6pm. I rushed down to meet Shuhui for a while at Cine. She suprised me with a cute teddy bear. Lol. I'd prefer Polar Bears though. Haha. I also managed to wish Max happy birthday in person. Heh heh. Went home after to celebrate Mooncake festival with my parents. I always have this tendency to burn my lanterns. Even the plastic ones with the lightbulb. I'll end up fusing the bulb. It's either the materials cheap or I'm just damn suay .... and NOW here I am slacking in bed, prepared to sleep. I'm pretty much drained tonight after a day of activities. Phew.
The New Miss World 2006 is not pretty at all. Australia and Vietnam are prettier. Pfft. Enough of blond bombshells already!!
I've been watching Avatar: The Last Airbender on Youtube. I've finished watching it already and proceeded on to Justice League Unlimited. That was over in a few days and now I'm moving on to Spongebob Square Pants .... dotz .... ok, I'm messing with ya. I'm now catching Ben 10. Its a cartoon larh, but I like. Haha. I'm a Youtube freak and PROUD OF IT!
Watched Nigel play netball with Shuhui at Kallang. There were some national squad girls there and they were damn tall larh >< OMG! Just makes me more sad, cause I'm short. Bleah.
Oh, below is the trailer of the next installment of the RE series. Resident Evil 5! You gotta watch it. It PWNS big time!
The zombies are actually running. Now thats a first. What next? Gun wielding zombies? *shudders* They've truly evolved.
Unfortunately, RE5 is for the PS3, though I heard CAPCOM was kind enough to do a whole new work for the Wii. Can't wait!!
... and I still owe SOMEONE ice-cream =X ...
P.S. I had KFC for supper =) yay!
