It's the 9th of March and today I celebrated the birthday of one person whom I love very much, my mom.
She has been an inspirational figure, as a mother, as a friend and as a mentor. The video tribute that I made for her is perhaps just something infinitesimal as compared to what she has sacrificed for me all these years.
We both went through tough times and I was really grateful that she was there whenever I needed her. It was because of her, I was able to pull through my darkest moments, knowing that I had another reason to live and strive on.
As I grew older, I was glad as well that she could count on my support whenever she needed me. My mom eventually became a friend to me.
20 years of bringing me up, I just want to thank her so much for everything that she has done for me.
Mom… I know you’ll read this. Really, you’ve been a wonderful everything to me all these years. I love you always.
Happy Birthday (You’re always 29 yo to me remember? Haha =D)
Well, the past few days have went pretty well, with a few rough bumps of turbulence, but, hell, I’m strong enough to rough ‘em out.
I went back to school yesterday and today to pay a visit to my dear juniors. I know they’ve been working their asses off and I’m proud to say that they’ve been doing a wonderful job so far.
First, to my admirer, Joanne, I know the chairmanship is a tough job and haha, I know you’ve been so flustered up these few days (see your hair like seaweed like that), but do persevere because I know that you can succeed in everything you do. I have faith in you. On a lighter note, mind you please, you’re carrying our child, do rest more often, don’t stress yourself and DON’T YOU DARE ABORT THE BABY! Haha.
And of course, my wife-to-be, Ning Zhen. You’re a wonderful person really. Please don’t say sorry la, I feel very guilty as well. I’m really glad and blessed to have known you as a friend. I still remember when I first met you, I thought you were a SUPER SIAO, hyperactive and playful girl! Haha! (Don’t beat me up tomorrow!!)
However, as I got to know you more on a personal level, I knew you were a person with the truest heart that you can find and a friend who you can ALWAYS count on. I’m really grateful that you always treated me well, putting aside all the BO LIAO remarks and bullying that I had to endure. Haha! Anyways, work hard for bAoc alright, don’t bully the subcoms too much =X (*hides under bed*)
To all my other juniors, Harjeet (my darlink), Evern, Melissa (my daughter), Sabrina (my new boss), Indah, Say Hao, Christina and Wan Qi, I love (platonic) each and every one of you very much, even though I’m like always MIA-ing, hahaha!
All the year 3s have been showering their support for you with their goodies and even small little gifts. Show us what you guys are really made of and make the Year 3s and Society proud by bringing down the house during bAoc and win the Best Society Award again this year (it will be third time we’ll be winning the cup)
So, are you ready? (Ayo ayo!!)
Loves!!
Oh yes, before I forget, to spur you guys on, I've made two videos from two of our past events.
The first video brings us back to the very first camp that we went to. Yeap, this was where we started our journey together as friends and colleagues. We have since forged a friendship that I believe will last a lifetime.
The next video is perhaps one of the best events that we all participated in. MSA! This is where the entire BA Society family, MCs, SCOs and ASCOs alike came together and I think we really bonded well during the 3 day camp.
Sucka sucka sucka jelly!
Alright, alright! Anyways, let me continue updating the fun and interesting (or BORING) events that happened these past few days.
Here's a photo of me and Lina during prom. I still haven't received photos from the others yet T-T ...
Let me see, ahh! I went researching my ancestry and I found an interesting fact.
My great-great-grand father was once an imperial doctor in serving under the royal family in the imperial court during the last few years of the imperial days in China. To refresh you on your history, it was sometime during the Pu Yi regime. Pu Yi was the last Emperor of China before Imperialism was abolished by the people of China. Apparently, he fled the country with the clothes on his back and a few other possessions.
Some of my great-great-grand father had apparently left behind some old relics from the imperial days and its stored somewhere in my grandma's house. Oo. Interesting!
Hmm, other than that amazing find, nothing much interesting really happened.
Went out with Nigel the day before and this evening I celebrated my mom's birthday at Lawry's in Paragon. It was a fancy affair and the ambience was great too. Haha, it looked nice but I never did like the food there because it was usually served ina rought cut. I prefer eating at Angus House! Haham but anyways, I still enjoyed myself and I had Creme Brulee for dessert!! Wahaha
Oh, and I want you to meet my REAL Scandal! Haha.
Yes yes, we're getting married soon. Don't forget to come to our ROM! Haha! Invitations will be sent!
That's all folks!
I'm ending my entry here!
Good Night all and have a great weekend!!
LOVE!
To err is human,
To forgive divine...
In nader we will weep
In union we shall solace
To trust is to vow,
Till death do us part...
